Minimum Wage

In order to see our community and our state get stronger, we not only need to create more jobs, they need to be decent paying ones as well. When parents need to work two or three jobs just to provide basic care for their families, we run into a situation where families as a whole suffer. Parents should be able to spend time with their children and not always worry about where their next meal will come from. We need to treat our workers fairly and that starts with fair wages. That is why I will support an increase in the minimum wage to $10.10/hour and have it indexed for inflation moving forward.
